Q: What inspired you to start your fitness journey and eventually open your own studio?

Honestly, fitness changed my life. I started working out as a personal way to find strength and balance, and over time, it became something much bigger. I realized that fitness wasn’t just about the physical—it was about empowerment, confidence, and community. I wanted to create a space where people, especially women, could feel that same transformative energy. That’s how Project S was born.

Q: What’s the philosophy behind Project S?

It’s simple: life begins outside your comfort zone. Our studio isn’t about perfection or quick fixes—it’s about showing up for yourself, taking small steps, and building strength from the inside out. We focus on inclusivity and creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their fitness level or experience.

Q: Were there any defining moments that solidified your path?

There were so many! But one that stands out was hearing from a client who told me, “This gym made me feel like I belong somewhere for the first time.” That was everything to me. It reminded me why I started this journey—to create a space where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Q: Community is clearly a big part of your studio. How do you foster that sense of belonging?

Sarah: It’s at the heart of everything we do. We’re not just a studio—we’re a community. We encourage collaboration and connection, whether that’s through group classes, social events, or just cheering each other on during a workout. I always tell my clients, “Friends who train together, grow together.” It’s amazing what we can achieve when we lift each other up.

Q: What are some fitness myths you wish you could debunk?

Sarah: Oh, where do I start? The biggest one is that fitness is all about aesthetics. Spoiler: it’s not! It’s about longevity, mental clarity, and overall wellness. Another one? That you need to be “fit” to start working out. Everyone starts somewhere, and it’s the journey that matters most.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who’s hesitant to start their fitness journey?

Start small and stay consistent. You don’t need to do everything at once—you just need to take one step at a time. And remember, it’s not about being perfect. Just show up, give 100 percent of what you’ve got that day, and trust the process.

Q: What do you love most about what you do?

It’s the people. Seeing clients leave the studio with sweaty smiles, feeling stronger and more confident than when they walked in—that’s the best part. Watching them grow, not just physically but mentally, and knowing I played a small role in that transformation is incredibly rewarding.

Q: What’s next for you and Project S?

I want to continue building our community and expanding the ways we empower women. I’m exploring wellness initiatives that go beyond fitness—like mindfulness workshops and recovery programs—to help our clients live vibrant, balanced lives. My ultimate goal? To inspire as many people as possible to step outside their comfort zones and discover their strength.

Q: Any final words of wisdom for our readers?

Sarah: Fitness is so much more than just exercise—it’s a way to build resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Don’t be afraid to start. Life begins outside your comfort zone, and the magic happens when you take that first step.
