PathFinders x WOHK: Celebrate & Accelerate Women’s Empowerment
This International Women’s Day (IWD), join us for a fireside chat with three incredible women—Crisel Consunji, Isabelle Daza and Sarah Vee—who are accelerating action to positively impact advancement for more than 360,000 women working in our city!
When & Where:
Mar 21, 2025, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
The Women's Lounge, 4th floor, Hollywood Commercial House, 3-5 Old Bailey St, Central, Hong Kong
Everything You Need To Know:

Today, there are over 360,000 Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) in our city. Behind closed doors, they provide an often invisible care and support system that enables mothers with young children and daughters with ageing parents to be able to work. Not considered ‘local’, they are frequently overlooked and excluded from services. Many are not available on a Sunday, and they are the only day off each week.
Thousands of miles away from family and, in many cases, separated from children, with the hope of affording them a brighter future, they spend years (sometimes decades!) calling Hong Kong ‘home’. Yet, their time here can be incredibly lonely, disempowering and full of vulnerability.
Like 55% of MDWs in Hong Kong, our inspiring speakers and women of power hail from the Philippines. Like an estimated 40% of MDWs in our city, they are working mothers striving to provide for their children.
Using their passion and respective platforms to create meaningful change in the lives of their ‘kababayans’, listen and be inspired by our speakers to positively impact your own actions to accelerate the advancement of all women of Hong Kong.
Speakers:
Crisel Consunji is an award-winning actress, singer, entrepreneur and early childhood educator who specializes in music-based learning for infants and toddlers. In 2015, she established her creative enterprise and family centre, Baumhaus. As a trained teacher, she offers professional development for educators and caregivers. In 2024, Crisel launched Aunty Academy, a series of monthly events where caregivers can have fun while learning and developing new skills.
Isabelle Daza is an actress, model and influencer in the fields of motherhood, business, and mental health. In 2021, she published Yaya Luning, a children’s book based on her long-time nanny. Isabelle dreams of professionalizing the role of domestic helpers, affording them the same benefits, sense of dignity, and opportunities to improve their lives through their work.
Sarah Vee is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and the proud founder of Women of Hong Kong (WOHK). She attributes much of her success in building WOHK to her mother, Agnes, who arrived in Hong Kong in 1986 as a 19-year-old domestic helper before going on to manage some of the city’s leading nightlife establishments.
